This exhibition is an attempt to mix and fertilize the exchange between Great Britain and Korea.
British crafts shows as Collect and Chelsea Craft Show displayed curatorial endeavours
that encouraged London to be the centre of artistic diversity and leading the design and arts industry.
Similar efforts are happening in Korea with World Ceramics Biennales and competitions
by the World Ceramics Exposition Foundation.
It has effectively acquired its stance since its foundation
in 2001 through enormous investment in engage international artists and scholars.
One could recognize its need to establish on-going events in London.
Here presents the important ceramic artists who demonstrate the great tradition of British crafts,
starting from 'father of British Potter's tradition' Bernard Leach to exciting contemporary British ceramic artists.

Gareth Mason works primarily in porcelain.
His work is rooted in his admiration of,
"…archetypal pot forms, that are pan-global and pan-cultural, that cross eons of time and stir the blood."
Form is his paramount consideration and his approach is fluid.
In keeping with what he describes as 'the malleability of skill',
he will often alter his thrown forms, playfully undermining the wheel's symmetrical influence.
He employs a range of glazes, most notably copper red, or 'sang de bouef' and celadon,
and will often intermix their melt and colours in pursuit of the depth and surface tension he values.
"Clay is a sensual and addictive material.
I am never sated. My inclination is always to 'push'. Risk is essential.
My work affords me moments where heart, hand and fire converge to create an arresting, disturbing beauty.
These are the moments that spur me."
Gareth regards 'Traditional yet Contemporary' as an important cultural event.
"Korea has a remarkable ceramic heritage,
having produced seminal ceramic forms of historic significance that have inspired generations of potters.
To exhibit alongside Korea’s finest contemporary practitioners is an honour and a pleasure."
